Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in a first session?
We’ll begin by slowing things down. You can share what’s been feeling present, what you hope for, and what has brought you here. I’ll offer some reflections and together we can sense what feels most supportive to begin with.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. I offer virtual therapy across British Columbia and Ontario, and throughout Canada where permitted. You’re welcome to join from a space that feels safe and private for you.
How long and how often are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes, typically once per week. Some people come for a few months, others stay longer. We can find a rhythm that feels right for your needs and capacity. I also offer therapy intensives which are longer, more focused sessions. Please see the Therapy Intensive page for more details.
Are you inclusive and affirming?
Yes. My practice is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergent-aware, and trauma-informed. You are welcome here exactly as you are.
How do I know if this is the right fit?
You can begin with a free consultation to get a sense of what it feels like to meet. Sometimes it takes a conversation to know whether this space feels like the right one for you.
What are your fees?
Current session rates start at $180 for individuals and $230 for couples. The rates vary depending on the type of therapy you’re seeking. A sliding scale may be available depending on space and need. Please inquire if this is something you’d like to explore.
A Gentle Invitation
If you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay. You can reach out with whatever you’re carrying. Together, we can find a starting place that feels steady and kind.
